Steve “Watty” Watson
Watty grew up in California, but he got to Texas as fast as he could! He moved here at 20 years old to attend Southwestern Assemblies of God University and never looked back. He spent 15 fun years in youth ministry before serving in other capacities such as operations, mens, and campus pastor. He is married to Julie and they have 4 kids, Savannah, Maddie, Roc, and Walker, as well as a grand baby, sweet baby James. Other than his foremost passion of loving and connecting with people, Watty loves to hunt, watch sports, and go out to eat. He definitely earns his nickname: the lunch pastor.
Born in south Louisiana, Lucas is a Cajun-boy at heart. Lucas has been involved in ministry since 2006 as a leader and a pastor. He has a passion to see people discover their God-given callings. Lucas met his beautiful wife Shawna on a missions trip to El Salvador in 2011. They both love fishing, enjoying the outdoors, and anything related to football. His most treasured love other than Shawna is their beautiful baby girl, Eloise.
Russ and Bailey were both born and raised in the North Texas area. Their experiences range from kids & student ministry to worship ministry, even taking them to Oklahoma City to help plant a church (but they are incredibly happy to be back in the promised land). Both Russ and Bailey attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University and have been serving in student ministries together since 2011. Their passion for the next generation is real and unshakable, and goes beyond preaching a message or singing a song: they are deeply passionate about being in the lives of the students at Genesis. When Russ and Bailey aren’t spending time with Genesis Students, they love to eat sushi, shop and play with their son, Corban.
Bailey and her husband, Russ, are the Student Ministry Pastors at Genesis. While Bailey is deeply passionate about students and helping them grow closer to God, she is also passionate about organization and helping the church run smoothly. She has worked as an administrative assistant at Southwestern Assemblies of God University and the Oklahoma Assemblies of God District Council. In her spare time, Bailey loves to run, write music, and hang out with her little family.
