Letter from the Tuttle Family
September 17, 2017
To Our Beloved Genesis Family,
I trust you’re doing well this week. The entire Tuttle family thanks you for your love, prayers, encouragement and presence in our lives. Throughout Sherri’s 12 year battle against cancer, you have stood with us. You have interceded, encouraged and cheered us forward. Mere words fail to express the fullness of our gratitude for you.
Our family is doing well. We are strengthened by your prayers and compassion. We are grieving yet we are deeply comforted by the Holy Spirit. We have GREAT hope, peace and fortitude because of your prayers. Please continue to pray for us. It’s important all of us grieve with a healthy, faith-centered reliance on our Lord Jesus Christ.
I want to commend the pastoral team, the support staff and the congregational leaders of Genesis for diligently working behind their grief to make Sherri’s Celebration service complete. The Board of Directors has worked privately and effectively behind their grief to handle the business and assist with the responsibilities of Genesis. This unified response has lifted Genesis to a new level.
We ask that you continue to faithfully attend, serve, lead and financially support Genesis. I will return October 1st and begin a new series on the subject of heaven. Our seed offering will occur Oct 15th and will be targeted towards missions and ministry needs within Genesis. Irby McKnight will lead us towards greater healing and comfort today and next Sunday. I appreciate Irby; he is an encourager. His presence at Sherri’s celebration service was not only a comfort to our family but a statement of his journey with Genesis. A special offering will be received for Irby this Sunday. Please prepare to generously bless him for his exceptional ministry and care as God’s servant.
You are in our hearts and I am praying for your today. I encourage you to live strong, use your influence to draw people to Christ, remain focused on the important and eternal matters and stay in the truth of Jesus. Weston, Payton, Gentry and I love you fiercely. We know God is going to release something new at Genesis. Expect greater levels of God’s presence and a stronger unified church as we journey forward.
I cannot wait to see you in October! Until then, stay in faith, share Christ and love one another deeply and patiently. Jesus Christ is our strength, comfort and victory! Walk with Jesus!
With great love and affection,
Charlie Tuttle and family
